About Stella

Stella Bass has been engaged to sing at funeral masses by most of Dublin’s funeral directors for some fifteen years now, and knows how integral music is both in setting the tone for the service and for bringing some comfort to the bereaved family and friends. She studied singing and piano through the Royal Irish Academy of Music and earned a Master’s degree in Music in 2017. For the funeral mass, Stella generally sings with the resident church organist; however, if there isn’t a resident, she is happy to source and book the accompanist for you

“My dear Stella, just a note to thank you for Tuesday.  Your singing was absolutely beautiful and all commented how lovely it was.  I saw you slipping away and apologies for not thanking you on the day but just did not get the opportunity. The day was a sad one but I thought the service was a very peaceful one.  Our brother had a wonderful send off and you were a great part of it. Thanks again.”

to the funeral.”
